Otto Franz Bernard OSTENDORF.2 Born on Aug 12, 1888 in Reading, Hamilton County, Ohio. Otto Franz Bernard died in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, on Apr 19, 1924; he was 35.3 died of labor (or lobar) pneumonia. Buried in Pleasant Ridge Presbyterian Cemetery, Pleasant Ridge, Ohio. Gary Ostendorf went to a cemetary in Pleasant Ridge to try to find Clemens and Clara's grave, but only found a card for Otto (his grave is not marked). He is in the potters field section of the cemetery, where indigents were buried up until about 1935.

Otto Ostendorf died on Apr 19, 1924 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH. He
was born on Aug 12, 1888 in Ohio. He is buried in Pleasant Ridge and his
widow was listed as Etta Ostendorf (nee Witte). His parents were listed as
Clem Ostendorf and Clara Baukloh. On the 1920 OH census, Otto and Etta's
children (Joseph and Delores) are living with Bertha Binkley along with
Ralph, Otto's younger brother. I did find Otto and Etta in the 1920
census. They are not living with any other family members, but rather on
their own with 5 lodgers. Carol may have a story as to why the two
children were living with other family members instead of with their
parents. I have a copy of his death certificate and the 1920 OH census. According to his death certificate, Otto died of labor (or lobar) pneumonia. He developed it on April 1 and died on April 19. Etta was the informant and listed their place of residence as 1809 Reading Rd in
Cincinnati.-michele ostendorf

2001. Walter Ostendorf, (Clems son) explained this was his boyhood home. The address is #517-#519 Corner of Fourth & Polk Streets, Carrolton, Kentucky..

On Nov 28, 1912 when Walter Franz was 17, he married Julia Elizabeth PARMENTIER, daughter of Julian PARMENTIER & Maria KROGER. Born on Jun 14, 1894. Julia Elizabeth died on Oct 10, 1986; she was 92.

Before their deaths Ralph and Rose lived at 1095 Congress Ave in Glendale. I believe they
bought the house not long after they were married because all of their
children were born there - the oldest Rose Marie was born in Dec 1927.

1920 census Ralph is living with his aunt, Bertha Bauckloh Binkley. Also living with Bertha is her grand niece, Dolores Ostendorf (7 years), and grand nephew, Joseph Ostendorf (9 yrs). Probably Otto's or Carl's children.

Abt 1926 when Ralph F was 19, he married Rose Marie WEITZEL, daughter of Peter WEITZEL (May 1869-) & Augusta RAMP (Jun 20, 1873-Jun 30, 1953). Born on May 28, 1908 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. Rose Marie died in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, on Jun 25, 1975; she was 67. Buried in Oak Hill Cemetary, Glendale, Ohio.
